In this week's episode we talk about writer's block. As well as birds, french fries, and happiness.

So the other day I went to Sonic Drive-In to get a #1 with mustard and a route 44 diet cherry limeade, as one does at lunch time. While I was waiting on my order I witnessed a remarkable site. A tiny sparrow like bird was wandering around the parking lot. Okay, that in itself is not all that remarkable. Now what made this special was bird was carrying around a french fry in its beak. Again not all that remarkable since this was at Sonic a place known to have french fries. No the real remarkable thing was this bird walking from car to car, without showing any fear what so ever, walking right up to the driver side window of each car, showed you the french fry, and then went to the next car. It was as if this bird was so happy and proud to have found that french fry, it wanted to show it off to everyone there. That was amazing, and it really brightened up my day.

You see up until that point I was feeling kind of blue. The stress of a difficult morning after a difficult week among difficult times was really causing me some difficulty. As many of you know, as I've shared before, I've been dealing with depression off and on for some time. Let's just say some days are better than others, and this was one of those other days. Until I saw that bird. I couldn't stay depressed after that. My day got way better.

So this just kind of proves a saying that I've heard for years that I kind of just chuckled at it and didn't take too seriously, but now I get it. And it's a sentiment I wish for you.
