Wow go away for a few months and Audacity updates and I have to relearn how to use it on the fly.

Anyway. Hi! Kevin here. Miss me? Sorry I've been away for so long. You know a lot of things have happened this year. I can go over it if you want, but I'd rather forget a lot of it if I can. Let's just say it involved a lot stress, tears, and wanting to hide under the blanket until the monsters go away.

I tried to keep everyone updated on the blog at blogoklahoma.net and on social media. So hopefully you've been following along. If not, no big deal, just head over to the website and it's all there if you want to catch up.

I have made some changes during my hiatus. Some big, some small.

Like the brand new Blog Oklahoma Podcast logo. I hope everyone likes it. The old microphone logo was just feeling a bit dated, and I think this new one feels a bit more modern.

I've also updated the website to go along with the new logo. Some new colors, new features, and fixed many things I was just putting off. So it has been a busy few months.

Besides the new logo I decided to correct a mistake I made years ago. I've restored the episode numbering. When I reset the numbering back to 1, I thought it was good idea at the time. Years later I realized it wasn't. So, this is episode 168 instead of 65. Will this confuse people? Maybe, but I think it lets people know this podcast has been around for a while.

On this past Thursday I had a live show on our YouTube channel. No problem if you missed it, I didn't advertise I was going to do it. It was kind of a trial broadcast. You can go watch the replay if you want to. During the show I talked about my confusion on why people won't wear a face mask. Even though its proven to help reduce the spread of the COVID virus. Please ask you, wear a mask. It helps everyone. I also showed off and reviewed some of the face mask I've been using. I don't know if the live shows are going to be a regular thing, but it was fun to do. I'll be sure to let everyone know before hand next time.

Well that's about it for the updates for now. This was just an episode to let everyone know I'm still here and will get back to a hopefully regular schedule again. If you have an questions at all please do not hesitate to ask. I'm happy to answer.

Voter Information

If you haven't yet, please go register to vote. Here in Oklahoma you only have until Friday, October 9th to register to vote in the November 3rd general election.

If you are registered to vote and want to vote absentee, you only have until Tuesday, October 27th to request an absentee ballot. It is really encouraged that you don't put this off and request your absentee ballot now, and as soon as you get your ballot, fill it out, sign it, go get it notarized or attach a copy of your drivers license to it, and drop it into the mail. The sooner the better.
