This is the Blog Oklahoma Bonus for September 4, 2017
WordPress blogging on the go
If you use WordPress as your blogging platform, did you know about their mobile app? It’s a great tool for when you need to manage your blog or just post something while you’re on the go. The WordPress app is available for both iOS and Android, and you can find quite easily in their respective app stores.
Now the WordPress app is designed to connect to your WordPress.com blog, but with an additional plug-in call Jetpack you can connect your self hosted WordPress blog to a free WordPress.com account and still use this app.
You can manage your entire site from the app, including but not limited to editing blog posts & pages, managing comments, or uploading pictures to your media library. You can even adjust your Theme. It's quite a powerful tool.
On a post level it has very easy to use editor. You can do simple formatting like bold, italic, bullet points, and of course linking and adding pictures all from your phone. The editor even works with the voice dictation function on your phone.
So if you're on the go a lot and don't want to have to open up your laptop just to manage your WordPress blog, download the WordPress app on your phone. You'll find it easy to use and very useful.
I'll have links to all this including some additional tutorials in the show notes at blogoklahoma.net in the Bonus section.
