Closing Our Roku Channel

Update 10/31: Slight change of plans. Nothing can just be straight forward. There are a few hoops I have to jump though at Roku to get a channel delisted. No telling how long it will take. So the channel will stay up for a little longer. There's a required channel update deadline of January 1, 2018, set by Roku. So I may just keep the channel up until Roku just pulls it.
After some real thought I've decided to close our Roku channel.
First off I'm a big fan of the Roku platform. I have a Roku on every TV in my house and one at the office. When I'm asked about which internet media player I'd recommend, I do not hesitate to say Roku. So my decision to end our channel wasn't an easy one to make.
Roku is in the process of sunsetting the legacy code on which our channel was built. Unfortunately our channel is just not being used enough for me to commit the time to update it to Roku's new API. It's not a trivial redesign for audio podcasts.
I've already removed the links to it on our website and I'll be removing our channel from the Roku store on November 1st.
This does not mean you won't be able to listen to the Blog Oklahoma Podcast on the Roku. You can still listen with the YouTube, TuneIn, and iHeart Roku channels.
The easiest move for you would be to subscribe to our YouTube channel (youtube.com/c/blogoklahoma). Not only can you listen to our podcast on Roku, but you can also watch all sorts of new video content.
Thank you to everyone who used our Roku channel in the past.
And a very big thank you to you for listening to the Blog Oklahoma Podcast.
